What does the Ladder Safety course cover?
Falls from ladders remain one of the most common causes of serious injury at work, and most of them come down to simple mistakes: the wrong ladder for the job, a missed check or poor positioning. This ladder safety training course tackles those habits directly, giving anyone who uses a ladder at work the knowledge to do it properly.
The course starts with the laws that govern ladder use, then walks through how to check a ladder before you climb it and what a competent person looks for during a formal inspection. You will cover the different ladder types you are likely to meet, where and when a ladder is the right choice for the task, how to secure one for use and the common errors that catch people out.
Six short modules add up to around 40 minutes of training, finishing with a final exam. Everything is delivered online, so your team can work through it at their own pace and fit it around the job. Each learner receives a certificate on completion, giving you a dated record of training for your health and safety file.
