What does the Personal Protective Equipment course cover?

Personal protective equipment only works when people understand it, wear it correctly and look after it. Too many workplace injuries happen to people who had the right kit available and did not use it. This online PPE training course tackles that problem directly, explaining not just what to wear but why it matters.

The course covers the regulations that govern PPE and the responsibilities they place on employers, employees and suppliers, brought to life with a real case study. It explains where PPE sits in the hierarchy of control, as the last line of defence once other measures have been considered, and how risk assessment drives the selection of the right equipment for each task. You will look at the main types of PPE and the protection each one provides, how to fit and wear it properly, its physical limitations, and why maintenance and timely replacement are part of the job.

Seven modules run to around an hour of training, with a final assessment at the end. The course is CPD approved and also holds IIRSM and IOSH approvals, and every learner receives a certificate on completion as evidence for your training records.
